Cathy has worked with children and young people over a 30 year time frame. She is a qualified and registered Social Worker as well as a qualified and joint Chair of the BACP Children, Young People and Family Executive Committee. She has worked in front line safeguarding, chairs various interagency LAC groups and networks, and was an Advisor for both the Department of Education and NI Education Authority in relation to the Independent Counseling Service for schools. In recognition of her work with C&YP and especially her work in establishing the Independent Counselling Service for Schools in Northern Ireland {ICSS} Cathy was awarded a BACP Fellowship. Cathy has also been involved in policy development across the UK including school counselling and emotional well-being.
