Supporting Adoptive Families Training From Day One

Adoption is life changing, and early support makes all the difference. Time 4 You Psychological Services, in partnership with our specialist agency, delivers ‘Telling About Adoption’ training for new adoptive parents, helping them navigate one of the most delicate aspects of parenting, talking to their children about their birth families.

Every child has the right to understand their origins, but these conversations can be complex. Our training equips adoptive parents with practical strategies, emotional guidance, and a structured approach to introducing their child’s history in a way that feels secure, compassionate, and age-appropriate. Delivered with sensitivity and expert care, this program gives parents the confidence to approach these discussions in a way that fosters trust, understanding, and family connection.

Commissioned by Adoption Tees Valley this program has been highly successful, providing adoptive families with the tools they need to support their child’s identity and emotional well-being.
